Backpack supports multiple ways to deposit funds depending on your needs. You can deposit from an external wallet, transfer between subaccounts, or deposit cash.
Deposit from an External Wallet
- Go to Deposit
- Select the External tab
- Choose the asset you want to deposit
- Select the correct network
- Copy the deposit address or scan the QR code
- Send funds from your external wallet
Important: Make sure the selected network matches your sending wallet, as sending funds on the wrong network may result in permanent loss.

Transfer Between Subaccounts
Use this option to move funds between your Backpack subaccounts.
- Go to Deposit
- Select the Subaccounts tab
- Enter the amount
- Choose the source and destination subaccounts
- Click Transfer
Transfers between subaccounts are typically instant.

Deposit Cash (Fiat)
Use this option to deposit fiat via supported payment methods.
- Go to Deposit
- Select the Cash tab
- Choose your payment method (e.g. wire transfer)
- Follow the on-screen instructions
Note: Processing times may vary depending on the payment method. Deposits must come from a bank account in your name. Third-party deposits are not supported. For more details, see the wire transfer guide.
