What is The Backwoods?

The Backwoods is a dungeon crawler adventure game built on the Solana blockchain. More than just a simple 'hero fights monster' game, The Backwoods has introduced a rich interactive world with battles, marketplaces, weapons forges and daily challenges.

Driven by its rich lore, The Backwoods keeps players hooked with daily quests that reward powerful gear and native crypto tokens like $LEAF, $SEED, and $CRYSTAL.

They’ve already rolled out a public beta, and all you need to start playing is a crypto wallet (like Backpack Wallet) and your Discord/Twitter details. Unlike many blockchain games, The Backwoods can be played on both mobile and desktop browsers (with a mobile app in the works).

You are the crucial factor of the vibrant game economy driven by the playerbase, and you will be rewarded for protecting Nightville from the hoards of monsters.

What is $LEAF, $SEED and $CRYSTAL?

In this game, you are the hero of Nightville, defending it from hordes of monsters and your efforts don’t go unnoticed. You are rewarded for keeping the town safe and thriving.

$LEAF, $SEED and $CRYSTAL are the main utility tokens in The Backwoods, and they’re what you’ll earn for completing quests. Players are rewarded for completing quests and receive in-game items such as weapons, armor and tokens as well as points which will be redeemed for airdops in the future..

$CRYSTAL is used to buy chests full of random building materials for later use in workshops. If you’ve connected your Backpack Wallet to the game, you’ll be able to claim some $CRYSTAL right away.

If you’ve been playing with a different wallet you can easily import it into Backpack and claim your rewards on your original account.

$LEAF is used in The Backwoods in-game store, more on that later.

As the Overlord relentlessly seeks the $LEAF, it has become the most sought after commodity in The Backwoods.

Survival for both the people and monsters hinges on the $LEAF, essential for life and a vital resource to fortify heroes and leafminded weapons.

The Backwoods has hinted that 5% of the $LEAF token supply will be airdropped to users once they launch a TGE (Token Generation Event) distribution.

What makes blockchain gaming different from traditional gaming?

The Backwoods is shaking up the traditional gaming scene by giving players real rewards and ownership of their in-game assets. Thanks to Solana’s low-cost and high-speed infrastructure, it's all super smooth and easy to learn. #OnlyPossibleOnSolana

Community is a standout element of The Backwoods, they have amassed 30,000+ DAU (daily active users) who are driven by a shared expertise in exploring the new game and strategizing the best strategies for defeating bosses.

Their in-game store enables you to take assets and enhance them for the next round of adventures. The Blacksmith performs the same role for weapons. These items can be built, bought, sold and traded in the marketplace.

The rewards you earn in the game, tokens and NFTs, are yours and yours only, rather than just some lines of records in a web2 database.

Multiple classes of assets are available for players to earn, to trade and to use. Together, they foster a vibrant and player-driven virtual economy.

DappRadar recently released a bombshell report on the status of blockchain gaming. According to the data giant, there are 4.2 million DAU (with 17M daily unique wallets) spread across blockchains such as Solana, Ronin and opBNB.

Blockchain gaming looks to be one of the main drivers of crypto mass adoption. They have raised $10M+ in funding with powerhouses like Solana and Tensor participating in the round.

What is The Backwoods NFT collection?

The Backwoods NFTs are used in game and grant the owner certain enhance abilities during battle as well as a built in points multiplier. They are not required to play the game but do introduce a different gameplay experience.

In addition to active rewards, you can also stake the NFT to earn more points and unlock unlimited referrals.
