Community at the center

$BP is designed to reward the users who built the platform. At TGE, 25% of the total token supply will be distributed directly to the community -- with allocations going to Backpack Points program participants and Mad Lads NFT holders. No tokens are allocated to founders, team members, or investors at launch.

This approach reflects Backpack's position that the people who traded, engaged, and contributed to the ecosystem over time are the rightful first recipients of $BP.

A new kind of exchange token

$BP is not a standard exchange token. Users who stake $BP for a minimum of one year will have the opportunity to convert their tokens into actual Backpack company equity -- representing up to 20% of the company in aggregate. This reflects Backpack's long-term commitment to aligning user interests with company growth.

What's next

Backpack's tokenomics and three-phase supply structure have been published at learn.backpack.exchange. Additional details around token utility, staking mechanics, and individual allocations will be shared in upcoming announcements as the TGE approaches.
