Eligible Backpack users buy and sell real US-listed stocks and ETFs from the same account as their crypto, settled in USD. Holdings are real security entitlements under New York UCC Article 8. Selected stocks can also be tokenized 1:1 on Solana for onchain access. Stocks trade 24/7 including weekends, and idle USD in the account can earn up to 6.8% APY via Auto Lend.

How does Backpack Securities work?

Traditional Securities

Backpack Securities begins with a traditional brokerage platform. When you buy a stock on Backpack, you own a real security entitlement under New York UCC Article 8, the same legal ownership structure used at firms like Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Vanguard, and Robinhood.

• Buy, hold, and sell real securities through established US securities infrastructure

Tokenized Securities

Real ownership is the foundation. Tokenization is how that ownership moves at the speed of the internet. Each tokenized security is issued 1:1 against the underlying real share held through Backpack Securities, and redeemable 1:1 back into the real share at any time.

With tokenized securities, investors can:

• Transfer tokenized securities 24/7 onchain
